2 Ways To Live in the Present + Plus 2 NEW Releases

2 Ways To Live in the Present + Plus 2 NEW Releases

Phew! So, it has been quite the week. After coming off of an already intense time for many reasons, we went straight into a packed week of Silobration, releasing a new collection, a massive photoshoot & throwing a release party. It took our entire team giving everything they've got and then some. We definitely needed extra grace in our tanks to make it through... and we did it! I'm so proud of these ladies working strongly side by side; they push hard to make it all happen.

With business & family, the weeks just seem to fly by as we take on the tasks of the day & the projects of the week. I'm a mom of three and very aware of this with each passing birthday and the monthly pictures I take of my infant documenting her growth through her first year. I see time passing right before me on the faces of my children.

I hear so many more experienced moms saying to me "cherish these years while they are young... it goes by fast."

How do we remember to cherish this precious gift of life that we've been given and not just rush to the next thing? I could definitely get wrapped up in a frenzy of fear about cherishing moments with my family "enough", but I'm committed to finding the place of peace...

I recall earlier this year as I was rocking my youngest daughter Marin and thinking about the next thing I need to get to, but fighting to put it out of my head... you know the running list, laundry, errands, emails, etc. I paused and looked into her brown eyes and she smiled at me as she often does, and in my heart I heard "linger longer." So now whether I'm looking at a sunset, or enjoying a piece of chocolate something or rocking my baby ... I live by that phrase "linger longer," rather than getting the one thing over with to move on to the next.

I designed the Kinna necklace as a beautiful reminder to us that as the seasons change and we move along in life to "linger longer." It comes from the Finnish word for "caught." I hope that you feel inspired to take the extra second or two this season to capture life's special moments in your heart. Then you'll know and feel at peace that you are cherishing today and living in the present.

The Delysia hoop is the perfect pairing for the Kinna both in style and meaning. Each hoop is hand forged and wire is woven carefully around by the hands of our lovely artisans. Delysia means "light" and take both care and time as they are made. I hope they brighten your day. The mixing of metal is a look I have always loved... I'm excited for you to give it a try if it feels right to you.

I'm wearing these momentos this season to remind me to linger longer and enjoy the present... join me?
