It's time to realign.
As a mom with plenty on my plate, I try not to take on more than what's good for me, my family, my business. But I love going for it with the things that have been given to me to do.
That's why the word "Align" and the idea of realigning myself, my schedule, my priorities means so much to me!
Especially at this time of year.
Don't you just love a fresh canvas? A white counter top before making a meal? A whole year ahead, yet to be discovered and managed with your whole heart!
What's going to be breathed into being on all of that white space motivates me to listen. What is important this year? What isn't? What needs letting go of?
I find, when I spend time listening and aligning, the benefits that flow out of that initial effort is far greater than the disjointed hustle that happens when I'm not.
To be almost ~ effortless. Because the things that you're meant to engage in, the relationships you need to tend to ~ they're all on the forefront and once engaged, it's clearer what you don't need to touch.
Easier to say no, easier to dig deep and give your all in a few, clear places than run ragged trying to be everything, all the time.
I'm all for effortless :)
Our window display in the store this fall and winter is of a small boat, pulling in an inordinante amount of winter, soooo much bigger than it should be able to pull.
How did it do it!? That tiny boat?!
Because when you know something greater than you has pointed to your work and your delight, the yoke is easy and the burden is light.
You can do this.
Take a moment for your own heart + mind aligning. Don't try to figure it all out; be prepared to hear a few key parts and build on them as the year unfolds. Don't worry - this is meant to help, not cause stress, so no perfectionism welcome :)
