Waco! It’s true…
Our little downtown has grown quite a bit in the past five years. Everyone’s attention was already turning towards downtown, and exciting new venues started springing up. With Baylor’s new stadium going up last year, and now the addition of the Silos, it sure is an exciting time to be involved in the re-development of a city's core. I think that’s what gets me about being involved in downtown Waco, because I’m about the heart. The core. When you come to Waco now, there’s life here… pumping out and everyone wants to pull their weight and add what they have to what's happening. So many gifts and talents being utilized. I love it!
To think that so many people travel to downtown Waco each week from other cities and towns... is amazing! I never would have guessed that as a city we would be here. Big things are happening! One of those big things is Silobration and instead of watching on from down the street, Magnolia has invited its favorite vendors to be featured in a pop-up market… we are one of them!
Yup, a lot has changed. I remember back in the early days (when I was still in college!), pulling up to Magnolia when it was the little green shop on Bosque, approaching the proprietors about carrying my jewelry line in their store. Magnolia was one of the FIRST stores in Waco to carrying my line… that was 15 years ago! Our favorite renovator was adorable and pregnant with Drake around that time. I came in and brought my merchandise on a handmade display… crochet cloth glued to an ornate gold frame. Haha! I laugh sometimes at my younger self... my style has definitely evolved since then, but it's fun to recall the past and see how much I’ve grown as a designer. We all start somewhere.
We LOVE creating jewelry that our hometown star loves. You can find our exclusive, made JUST for them pieces at the amazing Magnolia Market... here's the link to their store: www.magnoliamarket.com.
Here's a special edition layered look ~ both fail-proof & perfect for fall! ~ that reminds us of the Magnolia + Summer Ellis Jewelry story ~ the Vasara Necklace featured with the Journey Necklace ~ in Moss Agate & Labradorite. Because the Vasara is hand-hammered into her unique role, she has to be a certain kind of strong. The Journey, created twelve years ago, revamped, and brought back into the mix, speaks to how life is just that, such. a journey... as the little bead represents where you find yourself today, all that is behind you, and all that is to come! Both delicate and strong... You can see the Vasara Necklace here and the Journey Necklace here.
I’m SO honored & thankful to get to be a part of Silobration. SO excited to have the chance to meet and interact with so many customers who may have already bought my pieces at Magnolia! I love that my designs have landed with such beautiful people -- over.joyed to be a part of your journey.
We're bringing our favorite styles to Silobration ~ PLUS, I’m excited to say, I'm introducing a few new ones(!!). If you are close, you should definitely make the trip to Waco. You won’t be sorry. So many events are happening all around downtown. It's thrilling to see everyone jump in. So jump in with us?
We’ve been invited! And now we are inviting you!
Waco is ready to welcome you with open arms.
Want tickets to the Silobration? They're still available ~ find them here at Magnolia Market's website.
While we're on the topic of America's favorite demolition duo -- they are absolute gems. Who you see on-screen is who you get in real life. Authentic, through and through, and REALLY that much fun.
And if you haven't jumped on the bandwagon, make sure you watch their show. Season 4 starts in October!!
So much goodness! Hope we can meet up soon?
