Keep YOUR Autumn Afloat (+ FREE Sailboat Printable!)

Keep YOUR Autumn Afloat (+ FREE Sailboat Printable!)

October's First Friday was particularly fantastic as it was also the release party for our new collection.

As always, we were all hands on deck to finish the window display, get our sips & bites ready for guests + put the finishing touches on all of the items in the new collection. Even my dad was called in to help with his tools(!!) to ensure that everything is done.

Something I appreciate about my dad is that I can count on him when I need help -- he is quick to give advice and solutions. I definitely consider him a vital part of my launch into this career! He's such a continued support as our company continues to press forward.

The sailboat theme for this season is also a nod to my childhood. During my preschool days, we used to spend the summers aboard "Relentless" - a value my Dad instilled in me, I am sure. He and I manned (well, as a four-year-old, I'm sure I wasn't much help) the forty-foot sailboat, exploring islands in the Great Lakes of Canada and adding to my growing rock collection.

It felt natural to have our First Friday giveaway centered around boats -- white paper origami! It was decided! It was a blast making these teeny paper boats ~ symbols of being carried, held, and cherished ~ despite the seas of our day. Our Paper Boats Printable ~ a gift for you! ~ because we want you to experience the same kind of lightness of heart, filledness, that we did! If you stop by the shop, take a moment (you know, linger longer) and make a teeny boat as a reminder...

For bites & sips, we kept it elegant and simple with infused Prosecco, of course! This time with roses.

Our shortbread featured fresh rosemary, which grows delightfully in my garden. I can't get enough of it this time of year...! I let it punctuate as many dishes as I can... I'm going to show you how I feature it in our upcoming Thanksgiving table post, two weeks from today.

In keeping with our boat theme, I'm delighted to introduce to you two of the more unique pieces form this collection. First up, the Marin earrings:

These earrings are very dear to my heart. My youngest daughter's name is Marin, which means "of the sea". Even though the sea is wild in nature, these little abstract boats are anchored straight through. Think about adding these darling treats to your everyday collection!

Secondly, the Voile Earrings "Voile" means "sail" in French - it's a modern-day take on the wind-captured sail. A mysterious sail is suspended from contemporary, angled threaders ~ intertwining whimsical with modern.

These pieces go swimmingly with the Reign Necklace. A row of glimmering metal pearls gently curve as they suspend from a delicate chain. This piece is simple and elegant -- a fresh take on the classic string of pearls. Perfectly layerable!

Set sail on your hopes and dreams this season,

Summer
