I’ve received many requests for more pictures and details about the new retail space and our journey, so in the coming weeks I’m going to be sharing more of our story and how these dreams have come to reality and in turn I hope you are encouraged to identify and present yours to the world, because dreams really do come true (with a LOT of prayer & hard work & maybe some tears)!
On the Grand Opening… The night was magical.
Bright lighting. Gems sparkling. Metals shining. White roses...mmm! Take me back there!
There was energy, a steady influx of visitors - we stayed open til ten just because we could.
Appealing to all the senses, we wanted to refresh our guests! Sipping on our signature “Summer Solstice” punch and mint-infused iced water, breathing in each fragrance of our candle line - blood orange & vine, sugared citrus. Devine! Truffles were served...Delish!
Ever so soft sheep’s skin draped the tree table in the middle of the space. Everyone who wanted to feel the jewelry was free to - accessibility is important to us! The fine, cold chains of our pieces ran through happy fingers throughout the evening, trying them on to see if they were things our friends couldn’t live without! We loved seeing the jewelry engage the people and vice versa.
All kinds of Wacoans joined us at the event! Friends, family, long-time customers, new faces...that was heaven.
I wore the Linna earrings as I have been prone to do for the last few months (!!). I love them! They’re artful while still carrying a simplicity & versatility that I can't do without..
As the evening turned, Summer Ellis Bijouterie had yet to be seen in the night, fully finished. I beamed with pride as I stood outside with a few of my team members, looking through the front windows… It was my favorite moment of the evening. We took it all in… And were happy that this just existed. Right here. It was a surreal moment to be looking from the outside in. And seeing all my internal world out and watching everyone enjoy it all.The boutique seemed to be a candle flickering on the corner of 6th and Franklin…..which was enough to fill my cup for days… and fuel me for years!
Seeing the space open was like seeing a notch form on the timeline of my life, marking many years of hard work, all the questions I’ve had to work through as a mom and a business owner...as an artist...it was a presentation that made all of the soul searching, overcoming self doubt, the late nights, juggling a million things & being stretched to max capacity worth it.
Will you do us a favor? Next time you’re in Waco, come by? We’d love to have you. We’re always serving something yummy and we have two chairs by the mantel for you to pause awhile. Truly, our clients are our joy! We have a free gift for you, when you come. Just ask us… it’s already waiting for you.
