Have you ever found yourself longing for the next season, hoping that better times are around the corner? I have.
I'm over here currently wondering when the day will come that I can have both my arms back to do chores (I often find myself with one kid on a hip or even better, two on my lap while I try to eat). When I was in college, I don't think I truly appreciated the freedom I had. Sure, life was busy, but my time was my own... It is only in looking back to the first years of our marriage, before children, that I can really appreciate all those dinners where it was "just us." Now, if we're lucky, we get to have fifteen minutes of uninterrupted conversation! I catch myself either missing days gone by or thinking, "It will get better when my children are older."
What's ironic -- as soon as I get to that "next place" I wanted to be in, I wish I was back where I was! I've realized that contentment is a choice and so I have to be content on purpose! I don't just arrive there accidentally.
With the holidays fast approaching, I want to hang onto these moments so precious, and be content right. where I am.
One of the secrets to contentment is simplicity, so I'm inspired to bring you a look that is equally simple & elegant in two, contrasting color waves.
I've paired our long-time favorite Wings of the Dawn Necklace in Black Onyx & Mother of Pearl with the coordinating Constance Earrings from our newest collection!
Constance. A beautiful name -- in sound and meaning. With the uncertainties that life brings, the constant places of life act as anchors for the soul. One thing is for sure: whenever you put these earrings on, the elegance they radiate will be constant.
And if you've been a fan for a while, you may already own the Wings of the Dawn Necklace! It's a tried and true staple. You can find them here.
Cheers, all!
